EA Exam Coach (“the app”) is a study aid for the IRS Special Enrollment Examination (SEE). We designed it to collect as little as possible. This policy explains what happens to your information.
The app has no login and no user account. We do not ask for your name, email, phone number, or any government ID.
Your practice activity — which questions you’ve answered, your progress, your review/wrong-answer list, and your settings — is stored only on your device. We do not upload it and cannot see it.
The AI Tutor is an optional paid feature. When you send a message to the tutor, the text you type (and, if you tapped “Ask the AI Tutor about this,” the question and answer you’re asking about) is sent through our processing service to the AI provider (Anthropic) solely to generate a reply. This text is used only to answer you. We do not use it to build a profile of you, and it is not tied to your identity. Do not enter sensitive personal information (such as a real Social Security number or a client’s private data) into the tutor.
Subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store; we never see your payment card or Apple ID. We use RevenueCat to check whether your subscription is active. For this, RevenueCat assigns a random, anonymous identifier to the app installation and receives your purchase status from Apple. This is not linked to your name or contact details.
The app is intended for adults preparing for a professional exam and is rated 4+. It does not knowingly collect data from children.
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version at this URL.
